Relinking book exercise Audio Clips

A few people have written in saying that when they open the included exercise Sets that come on the DVD they get a message from Live that says “Some audio files could not be found and are offline”.  This is due to having changed the file structure of the DVD content in some way.  Not to worry: reconnecting them is easy – just follow these steps:

  1. Double-click the orange “Media files are missing” message at the bottom of the Ableton Live interface in the Status Bar, which opens the Missing Files tool.  You can also get to this tool by going View > File Manager > Manage Set.
  2. Next to “Search Folder” click the button so it says “Yes”.
  3. Click “Set Folder” and navigate to the Sounds to Sample folder, select it and click “Open”.
  4. Deactivate the Search Project and Search Library buttons.  This will force Live to search in the right folder.
  5. Now click Automatic Search “Go” and see what happens… should relink everything.
Hope this helps!

    Hi Jake
This is maybe not the right place for this comment but I didn’t know where else to put it.
I bought “Producing music with Ableton Live” from the Kindle store.
Where can I download the material from the DVD?
    Thanks
    Kind regards
    Lambert

In the final appendix of the book there should be a link of where to download the DVD content.

I bought a physical copy of the book with the dvd, but the new macbooks don’t come with a disk drive, is there any way I could get the contents of the dvd online?
